Tea Tasting Reviews — Plum Deluxe Teas
My blog style is not normally to review teas but every once and awhile I discover an exceptional tea that warrants sharing. Such was the case for the teas from Plum Deluxe. Their blending skills are exceptional in that they are able to blend many predominant flavors without one over powering the other. A sip of their teas provides ones mouth a symphony of flavors starting with a light introduction to a full flavorful sensation while concluding with a lasting after taste that leaves one wanting more of this fabulous tea.
Now, let us takea closer look at my favorite tea from Plum Deluxe.
Kitchen Table Blend Black Tea —Plum Deluxe (www.plumdeluxe.com)
Impression — The rose, lemon/lime, grapefruit comes through providing a slight dryness to the liquor. The after mouth feel is enhanced with a sweetened orange sensitivity providing a refreshed pleasurable cup.
Ingredients — Black Tea, Green Tea, Lemongrass, Rose Petals, Jasmine Flowers. Lemmon/Lime/Orange/Grapefruit Essences.
Preparation — Water temp initially was 195 degrees. Steeping was done in a thermos stainless steal device. Initial steeping was 5 minutes with 2-3 continues steepings which provide a delightful, although lighter cup of tea.
Comments — My preference method for enjoying tea is Grandpa Style; therefore, I am always on the search for teas that will not get more astringent with extended steeping times. All of the Plum Deluxe teas I tested provided me this experience.
