Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in tea, books, life, and fashion. Hope you have a nice stay!

My tea activities have been many over the past several months — sometimes not directly involving tea but tea was usually a pre or post event refreshment. Let me add that I do start each day with a cuppa Matcha. Speaking of Matcha, let’s talk about a delicious Matcha cookie I found at Trader Joe's — Matcha Joe-Joe’s!

Unlike other cream-filled cookies the filling in these cookies stays soft — making it easy to twist and separate the cookies . . . Making TWO (all the more to enjoy). One can feel like you have enjoyed four cookies when you actually had two — fewer calories. And yes, these cookies do have green tea in the filling, granted it probably is not a lot but every little bit is a conscious good beginning to healthier eating.

Now let’s talk RTD (Read To Drink) teas. When selecting a tea my first concern is that it is“actually” tea and then I always check out the amount of sugar. Granted one cannot avoid all sweetening ingredients but when necessary my preference is organic cane sugar — trying to avoid artificial ingredients. I recently found this RTD organic tea/herbal drink in Wegman’s (A grocery store in the Northeast that is a combination of Trader Joe’s and Whole Food’s.

I have found this drink to be creamy and smooth with a delightful Matcha flavor. Having organic Japanese Matcha listed in the ingredients made my day and reinforced my decision to purchased.

Yes, I am probably an over-consumer of tea and tea products. You would find green tea in many forms in my house. I not only drink  green tea; I also select cosmetics, moisturizers, facial cleansers, body lotions, and shampoos that contain tea — preferably green tea.
