Nostalgic Tea Friday

This morning has me feeling a little tea-nostalgic for the beginnings of my world of tea. My initial introduction to tea was by the Grandmother of a childhood friend. We would have afternoon tea (Lipton, I am sure) with milk, sugar, and pieces of a special coffee cake she made just for us. I have no Lipton tea so I am substituting Barry's Tea (it is March, after all) and instead of whole milk I am using almond/coconut milk with honey. And yes, I did use my tea traveler as a tea pot.

If I were not adding milk and honey I would have drunk the tea directly out of the tea traveler. There are just days when one feels the need for the "way things used to be."

I have a fascination with the bubble that appear when pouring tea. Do you see the coconut oil floating on the top of the tea. Yummm.

Perhaps it was a little upset tummy that had me searching for a cuppa tea of yesteryear. No matter what the reason, I am certainly enjoying my trip down memory lane . . . Wish I had a piece of coffee cake.

Until we share a cuppa again, enjoy whatever tea brings you happiness,
